TELEVISON MERGER: ABC/DISNEY & UNIVISION

More mergers...
One day we will all be watching 3000 channels owned by one company--and it looks like Disney (scary since they are monopolizing BROADWAY, but I have better things to think about like how the hell do I get to FLUSHING, NY this week and not get lost or bump into the World's Fair sphere)

But yes my friends, we will now have a 24 hour CNN type "espanol" version brought to you by those famous ears, DISNEY & CO.

"Walt Disney Co. and Univision Communications Inc. said Monday they have agreed to launch a 24-hour cable news channel targeting Hispanics that will broadcast in English..."

The joint venture between Disney's ABC News and Univision News aims to reach the rapidly growing US-born Hispanic population, which often speaks English more than Spanish and is now fueling the group's growth more than Spanish-speaking immigrants.

The still-unnamed channel is slated to begin in 2013, the companies said in a joint statement. A website, as well as mobile and social-media content, are set to debut this summer ahead of the presidential election, in which the Hispanic vote is expected to play an important role.
