NEW MET FASHION CENTER/MET BALL MAY 5, 2014

The First Lady looked absolutely radiant in NYC on May 5 while speaking at the ribbon cutting for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s costume center, which has been renamed after ‘Vogue’ editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. HollywoodLifers, what did you think of her dress?

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC and Michelle Obama is already kicking off the day in gorgeous style. The First Lady took the stage for the highly anticipated ribbon cutting honoring Vogue‘s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, and we think she looked flawless.

Michelle wore a gorgeous green floral dress by Naeem Khan. It was made of silk organza and it looked stunning on her. The three-quarter sleeves were perfect for the breezy NYC weather and it’s
On Monday night, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute gala, there were ball gowns, leg slits, white ties and trains. Lots of trains.

“The Met Gala is that one event where you can be artistic as you want when it comes to fashion,” said the actress Zoe Saldana, in a dress by Michael Kors. “You don’t have to worry about hit-or-miss. You just enjoy the artistry of the fashion.”
And plenty did. There was Rihanna in a white crop top and puckered skirt from Stella McCartney and BeyoncĂ© in a plunging V-neck, long-sleeve gown from Givenchy, complete with a veil over her head. Sarah Jessica Parker, meanwhile, went for an Oscar de la Renta ensemble that included the designer’s signature on the back of her dress.
The gala this year honored the British-born designer Charles James, who revolutionized American fashion in the mid-20th century, and the longtime Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

“Last year’s theme was punk and that was so wild and fantastic, but you’re going to see a very refined look tonight,” said the model Karen Elson. “Charles James defines taste and elegance.”

DUCK DYNASTY & Phil Robertson's IGNORANCE...

Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson Makes Controversial Remarks About Sin in America   by Erin Hill

( Anytime someone quotes the fictitious Bible, I often tune it off since I pretty much know the rhetoric; nevertheless, I offer this to those who love "Duck Dynasty" (I'm not one of them). The insensitivity of associating the LGBTQ community with bestiality is a new low.

‘Duck Dynasty’ star Phil Robertson took aim at homosexuality in an interview with GQ. Equating same sex relationships to bestiality, he called homosexuality ‘not logical.’

So much hate in the name of God. Leave MY God outta this buddy, he is a God of LOVE...

Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson is under attack for saying in the January issue of GQ  that “homosexual offenders” will not “inherit the Kingdom of God” and stating in graphic terms his preference for heterosexual sex over homosexual sex.

“Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong,” he told GQ. “Sin becomes fine.” He also paraphrased Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

“We never, ever judge someone on who’s going to heaven, hell. That’s the Almighty’s job,” Robertson continued. “We just love ’em, give ’em the good news about Jesus—whether they’re homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort ’em out later, you see what I’m saying?”

A&E hasn’t commented on how Robertson’s comments could impact the future of the hit series. However, in 2007, Dog the Bounty Hunter came under fire for using racial slurs, and A&E halted production of his series. And celebrity chef Paula Deen lost the support of several major sponsors after she admitted to using racial slurs earlier this year.
