ATLANTIC CITY the new ASBURY PARK?

(From "PHILLY.COM & "THE INQUIRER" --June 16, 2014)
ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY...

"In a quest to get its historically gay vibe back, Atlantic City's first openly gay mayor on Monday designated an official gay beach.

It's a familiar spot: Park Place, the site of the original gay beach in Atlantic City, the iconic second most valuable spot on the Monopoly board and, now, a beach with a rainbow flag flying at its entrance off the Boardwalk.
"It represents Atlantic City coming of age," Mayor Don Guardian, 61, said after placing the rainbow flag on the wooden archway. "Atlantic City's been gay-friendly for a long time. We just had to welcome them back."

With the gaming industry struggling, Atlantic City seemed more than ready to make a case for its gay moment in the sun.

Three major LGBT events - Sandblast, an Asbury Park festival export; Miss'd America, a drag pageant, and StandOut, a gay business expo - are coming to town this year.

"You know, back in the 1960s, long before Stonewall in New York, long before Provincetown, Rehoboth and Fort Lauderdale, Atlantic City was a mecca for the LGBT community," said Rich Helfant, president of the Greater Atlantic City GLBT Alliance.

Back before casinos, gays crowded New York Avenue bars, created rituals around the Miss America pageant, and lived and summered in and around Snake Alley, a winding series of side streets that connect New York Avenue and Kentucky Avenue in the city's north section.

Atlantic City and its casinos and hotels have stepped up targeted marketing to gay and lesbian tourists in recent years and especially since gay marriage was legalized last fall in New Jersey.

On Monday, casino executives, LGBT organizers and marketing officials joined to promote the city to a tourism segment that has had dramatic economic and revitalization impact elsewhere.
The beach in front of the Claridge was long known as the gay beach in Atlantic City - for "obvious reasons," Guardian said Monday (not least of which, the phallic architecture of the Claridge as a symbolic designation).

But over the years, the vibrant gay community all but vanished (although Guardian, a longtime resident, stayed). Just one gay bar remains in town. Some blamed the advent of casinos, others the general decline of Atlantic City, and some pointed to AIDS as the reasons.

Jeff Guaracino, a marketing specialist with the Atlantic City Alliance, a casino-funded marketing agency, said the hope is the LGBT community will "not only visit Atlantic City but also open businesses here and also buy primary and secondary homes in Atlantic City."

A survey commissioned by the alliance found that the city, despite its storied gay history, was not viewed as especially LGBT-friendly, he said.

"People just want to know where are the gay people," Guaracino said. "It's like a gay diaspora. We're all around; we just want to know where everyone is. Plus, people think gays go to the next great place. What happened in Asbury Park could happen here."

This year, several of the city's casinos and hotels are marketing under Pride 2014 themes, including Borgata and its Water Club, and Caesars, which sponsored a Win a Wedding promotion after gay marriage was legalized. The newly repositioned Claridge Hotel also has been directing marketing toward the gay and lesbian tourism market and is the official host of Sandblast Weekend.
Sandblast, July 18 to 20, previously had been held in Asbury Park, where the LGBT population bought up properties and revived the resort..."

Apple CEO Ti Remarkable Speech on Gay Rights, Racism |

Apple CEO Tim Cook Gives Remarkable Speech on Gay Rights, Racism

Notoriously private executive spoke of personal discrimination

"Tim Cook, Apple’s media-shy chief executive, made a rare public speech at the U.N. this week. Auburn University, Cook’s alma mater, posted his 13-minute talk on Saturday.

Cook made his comments after receiving an achievement award from the university. He talked of personally witnessing a cross burning during his youth, an event that “changed his life forever,” and went on to say, “Since these early days, I have seen and have experienced many types of discrimination and all of them were rooted in the fear of people that were different than the majority.”

Cook, 53, continued by describing the values he says he found in Apple and its founder Steve Jobs when he joined the company in the late 1990s. These include creating products accessible to the disabled and, later, backing national nondiscrimination legislation.

Cook went on to talk of gay rights, saying, “Now is the time to write these basic principles of human dignity into the book of law.” He also backed an immigration overhaul, adding of proposed reforms, “Do not do them because they are economically sound — although they are — do them because they are right and just.”

The statements are remarkable for the notoriously private Cook because they strongly imply personal experience with discrimination. In 2013, Out Magazine named Cook the most powerful LGBT person in the world.

RIP JOAN FONTAINE--BEAUTIFUL LEGEND:

Hollywood stalwart Joan Fontaine, best known for her roles in director Alfred Hitchcock's 1939 Rebecca and her Best Actress Oscar-winning role in his 1940 film Suspicion, died Sunday at her northern California home, according to several reports. She was 96.

Details of her death were not immediately available.

In addition to playing a mousey spouse in both the Hitchcock films, first alongside Laurence Olivier and then to Cary Grant, Fontaine's other well-known movies included 1943's The Constant Nymph, which got her a third Oscar nomination, 1944's Jane Eyre with Orson Welles, 1952's Ivanhoe with Robert Taylor, and 1957's controversial Island in the Sun with Harry Belafonte.

I  also remember her as the meek socialite in "THE WOMEN".

Her final role was in a 1994 TV movie.

F I T PRESENTS: "QUEER FASHION" (SEPT 13TH)

The Must-See Exhibit: Queer Fashion at FIT

 (OPENS SEPTEMBER 13TH--FREE)

(Fashion Institute of Technology)

  • New York City 10001-5992
  • 212-217-7999

F I T HAS AMAZING FREE EXHIBITS ALL YEAR LONG--DON'T JUST WALK BY--FEED THE MIND, STOP IN!

By Max Berlinger

'From the Closet to the Catwalk' explores fashion through a queer lens

Above: Clockwise from top left: Gay Pride “Kings and Queens 3,” 1989; Gianni Versace, leather evening dress, Autumn/Winter 1992 (worn by Naomi Campbell); Jean Paul Gaultier, orange shirred velvet dress, 1984; model Jenny Shimizu, Helmut Red campaign

This fall, Valerie Steele, director of the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and her co-curator, Fred Dennis, set out to expose the vital, if sometimes unsung, contributions the queer community has made to the fashion industry. “What people will find is that there is a multitude of gay aesthetics,” says Steele of their exhibit A Queer History of Fashion: From the Closet to the Catwalk, which includes everything from Versace’s leather bondage dresses (a nod to backroom debauchery), Gaultier’s conical bras and skirts for men (a camp take on sexual politics), Saint Laurent’s tuxedos for women (which helped put androgyny on the map), and an 18th-century dandy’s suit worthy of Oscar Wilde.

The show’s timely coda features a selection of same-sex wedding ensembles. Ultimately, Steele and Dennis see it as a more accurate portrayal of fashion’s past, which has too often been scrubbed clean of any sexuality. “By deliberately acknowledging what gay people have done for fashion,” Steele says, “we’re shedding a whole new light on the subject.” Opens September 13.

CHRISTIE SUPPORTS LGBT--FINALLY!

NJ Gov. Christie signs ban on controversial gay conversion therapy...

(I HOPE HE'S NOT JUST PANDERING FOR HIS POTENTIAL PRESIDENTIAL RUN IN 2016)

HE CLEARLY SPOKE OF THE DANGER OF CONVERSION THERAPY (suicide, etc...)

(let's face it, even the biggest conversion group, the EXODUS CHURCH, has finally admitted "it doesn't work"--DUH!)

Christie's action is seen as a victory for gay rights groups...

Christie has said that he believes that sexual preference is a trait people are born with and that, although his Catholic faith calls homosexuality a sin, he does not...

When he vetoed the same-sex marriage law last year, he said the state should hold a referendum on the issue instead. In June, he criticized the Supreme Court's decision striking down a ban on federal rights for same-sex married couples. At the same time, the governor said he is "adamant'' that same-sex couples deserve equal legal protection and vows to abide by a same-sex marriage law if the voters approve it. He also appointed the first openly gay judge to the state's Supreme

Supporters of same-sex marriage say they have greater hope New Jersey will soon allow it after Republican Gov. Chris Christie signed legislation Monday banning the controversial practice of "conversion" therapy for gay youth.

New Jersey is only the second state in the nation, after California, to forbid licensed therapists from using therapy to try to change the sexual orientation of minors. But the state is the only one in the Northeast not to allow gay couples to marry: Christie vetoed same-sex marriage legislation last year.

Christie said that while he is concerned about "government limiting parental choice on the care and treatment of their own children,'' he sided with expert opinion from the American Psychological Association that so-called conversion therapy can lead to depression, suicidal thoughts and substance abuse in teenagers.

The conversion therapy law "sets a national precedent on not allowing this abuse to go forward,'' said Troy Stevenson, executive director of Garden State Equality, which supported the ban.

ANDY COHEN SAYS SHOVE IT RUSSIA!

Andy Cohen Drops Out of Hosting Miss Universe — Because of Russia

( GOOD FOR YOU ANDY & NOBODY WATCH IF THEY INSIST ON HAVING IT THERE-FUCKERS!)

8.15.2013

By Neal Broverman

The Bravo host and executive will not host this year's Miss Universe event, which takes place in Russia.
Andy Cohen, the host of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, has dropped out of co-hosting the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow, saying he doesn't feel safe traveling to Russia as a gay man.

Reacting to the nation's recent antigay "propaganda" bill, Cohen told E! News, "Their discriminatory policies make it unsafe for the gays who live there and gays coming to work or visit... The law is that anyone under suspicion of homosexuality can be arrested. [I don't] feel right as a gay man stepping foot into Russia."

The Miss Universe pageant is scheduled for November 9 in Moscow. There is already a Change.org petition urging a change of venue, with over 25,000 supporters. Donald Trump, the owner of the Miss Universe pageant, has not commented on the petition.

DIVORCE GAY STYLE--I KNEW IT

Ruling on Same-Sex Marriage May Help Resolve Status of Divorce

(I'M SURE MANY LAWYERS ARE SHARPENING THEIR PENCILS JUST WAITING FOR THE LGBTQ DIVORCES TO MANIFEST--DO NOT RUSH INTO MARRIAGE JUST BECAUSE WE CAN)

Adam Cardinal’s wedded life began happily in New Hampshire, where same-sex marriages are legal. It went sour three years later in Florida, where they are not.

Elizabeth F. Schwartz of Miami Beach, a lawyer representing a client seeking a same-sex divorce.
Mr. Cardinal, who lives in Fort Lauderdale, separated from his husband several months ago. But the couple cannot get a divorce because, in the eyes of Florida officials, their marriage does not exist.

Returning to New Hampshire to sever the bond is not an option either. Although marrying can be accomplished with a brief visit there, a divorce requires residency in the state for at least a year.

Mr. Cardinal cannot remarry — to do so would make him a bigamist in states like Massachusetts or New York that recognize his previous nuptials. And although he and his husband did not combine their assets, the lack of an official document certifying the end of their marriage carries financial risks.

“I didn’t realize this could potentially be an issue, that we couldn’t divorce when we wanted to,” Mr. Cardinal said. “That was really upsetting.”

The Supreme Court’s ruling last week striking down the federal Defense of Marriage Act has been hailed as a victory for gay couples who wish to marry. But it has also offered new hope to people like Mr. Cardinal who are stuck in a marriage they cannot dissolve.

Said Ms. Schwartz, the lawyer in Miami Beach, “If you’re going to let people into a relationship, you’ve got to let them get out.”

MICHELLE OBAMA & A GAME CHANGER FOR LGBTQ?

Lesbian activist kicked out of fundraiser for disrupting First Lady’s speech

WASHINGTON — First Lady Michelle Obama on Tuesday threatened to walk out on a private Democratic fundraiser after a lesbian activist repeatedly interrupted her speech to demand that President Obama sign an executive order to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Ellen Sturtz, 56, a member of GetEqual — a extremist group that advocates for LGBT equality through confrontational direct action — was escorted out of the event, which was being held at a private residence in northwest Washington.

According to the White House, Mrs. Obama “left the lectern” and confronted Sturtz, telling her, “One of the things that I don’t do well is this,” she said to applause from most of the guests. “Do you understand?”

The pool press report quoted Mrs. Obama as saying, “Listen to me or you can take the mic, but I’m leaving. You all decide. You have one choice.”

The White House told LGBTQ Nation that after the First Lady threatened to leave, the audience asked her to remain and Sturtz was instead escorted out of the room.

Sturtz told The Washington Post that she was stunned by Mrs. Obama’s response.

“She came right down in my face,” Sturtz said. “I was taken aback.”Sturtz said paid $500 to attend the fundraiser as part of a scheme by GetEqual to gain the President’s attention.

AND SHE GOT IT!!!

I GET  THE APPARENT DISRESPECT & LACK OF DECORUM TO OUR WONDERFUL FIRST LADY AND NO ONE ADORES MICHELLE OBAMA MORE THAN I DO BUT THIS WAS BIGGER THEN HER, OR YOU OR ME. THIS IS A HISTORICAL  CRY FOR FREEDOM & LIBERTY FOR TODAY & GENERATIONS TO COME.

HISTORY SHOWS THAT THOSE WILLING TO PUT THEIR REPUTATIONS ON THE LINE AND STAND UP--I MEAN REALLY STAND UP AND HAVE THE "COJONES" TO MAKE A LIFE ALTERING STATEMENT ON ISSUES CONCERNING THE GREATER GOOD USUALLY GET PRAISED MUCH LATER WHEN HISTORY SEES THE COURAGE IT TAKES TO BE VOCAL & GET THE SAID ISSUES ATTENTION; HERE BEING LGBTQ RIGHTS.

I APPLAUD YOU ELLEN STURTZ FOR BEING THE VOICE OF SO MANY OF US. NOT EVERY LGBTQ PERSON NEEDS TO AGREE WITH ME BUT IT'S THIS KIND OF RADICAL STANCE THAT STARTS A DIALOGUE-BRAVA!

WE NEED TO BE VISIBLE EVERYWHERE AT THE RISK OF NOT BEING LIKED. WERE PIONEERS SUCH AS HARVEY MILK OR LARRY KRAMER LIKED AT FIRST BY THE STAUS QUO? OF COURSE FREAKIN' NOT!

WE CANNOT SIT BY & WAIT FOR POLITICIANS OR SINGLE STATE LAWS TO DECIDE WHAT WE SO RIGHTLY DESERVE FROM OUR CONSTITUTION!

LGBTQ MARRIAGE EQUAILTY  HAS TO A FEDERAL LAW. THE SUPREME COURT MUST MAKE IT SO-SOONER BETTER THAN LATER!

NOW! NOW! NOW! WE GOTTA FIGHT HARDER  MY LGBTQ BROTHERS & SISTERS.

I AM VERY SORRY FOR MRS. OBAMA, A GREAT LADY & A COMPASSIONATE HUMAN BEING WHO IS ON "OUR" SIDE BUT THIS WAS NOT PERSONAL IT WAS ABOUT EQUALITY FOR ALL.

FOR ELLEN TO SPEND $500 AND THEN RISK BEING MOCKED & SHUNNED IS TRUE BRAVERY IN MY BOOK.

WITH ALL THE GAY BASHING BLOOMING IN NYC--YES WE NEED THE ELLEN STURTZS OF THE WORLD TO YELL EQUALITY SO WE CAN GET RESPECT FROM ALL AMERICANS-FROM THE ENTIRE WORLD, IN FACT!

"SALVATION ARMY": GAYS SHOULD DIE!

According to the Salvation Army, [gay parents] deserve death.

LGBT Parenting a death sentence with Salvation Army:

(DONATE TO GOODWILL, HOUSING WORKS OR YOUR LOCAL THRIFT STORE WHO ARE NOT HOMOPHOBIC)

THANK YOU: Joseph Miceli-Magnone and Jersey Leather

Ryan: According to the Salvation Army, [gay parents] deserve death. How do you respond to that, as part of your doctrine?
Craibe: Well, that’s a part of our belief system.
Ryan: So they should die.
Craibe: You know, we have an alignment to the Scriptures, but that’s our belief.
Ryan: You’re proposing in your doctrine that because these parents are gay, that they must die.
Craibe: Well, well, because that is part of our Christian doctrine –
Ryan: But how is that Christian? Shouldn’t it be about love?
Craibe: Well, the love that we would show is about that: consideration for all human beings to come to know salvation…
Ryan Or die…
Craibe: Well, yes.
Major Bruce Harmer, the Army’s Communications and Public Relations Secretary recently issued the following passage from the group’s FAQ:
The Salvation Army encompasses a diverse community with a wide range of opinions on human sexuality and other subjects. The senior leadership of The Salvation Army continues to reflect on Christian and Biblical tradition, and especially on the themes of justice and mercy, to further deepen the understandings of our own members and build a more healthy relationship with the GLBT community. We pledge to continue to offer services to all and to treat each person with dignity, respect and non-discrimination.

Please, don’t give us the non-apology apology, Major Harmer (how’s that for a fitting name?) We practically invented it. If you choose to believe the Major that the Salvation Army doesn’t hold any animus toward the LGBT community, that’s your choice. Me, I'm gonna donate my old shmatas to Goodwill.

MORE HATE FOR GAYS (END UP IN HOSPITAL)-WTF????

 newnycattack

Another Anti-Gay Hate Crime In NYC Puts Two Men In The Hospital --WTF!!!!!!

Less than a week after eight men allegedly beat boyfriends to a pulp for being gay, another horrifying anti-gay assault takes place in the neighborhood. This time it occurred near the 33rd Street PATH Station.

Two New York City men were arrested today in connection with the brutal beating of two gay men near PATH's 33rd Street station in Manhattan. Police are working to see if there is any link between this incident and one that occurred near Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

Police say early the two victims were denied access to an after-hours billiards club. They were then approached by a group of men who allegedly shouted gay slurs and beat the men, according to police.

The alleged attack continued after the victims tried to escape and ended up across the street near the 33rd street PATH station.

Two suspects were arrested as others got away on foot. The suspects were identified as Asllan Berisha, 21, and Brian Ramirez, 21, both of New York City.

Both of the men received treatment for severe facial injuries at Bellview Hospital, with one having to undergo eye surgery due to the attack.

ANOTHER BRUTAL GAY BASHING---WHO SAYS WE'RE EQUAL?

Applebee’s employee gay-bashed by husband of co-worker says he was told not to return to work due to bad publicity

UPDATED 8 p.m. April 1

"A gay employee of Applebee’s in Rice Lake was brutally bashed by the husband of a co-worker, then told by the restaurant’s manager he could not return to his job due to publicity surrounding the incident, he said.

Timothy Phares subsequently did return to his job as a server after Greg Flynn, CEO of Apple American Group franchise, intervened on his behalf.

According to Phares and his sister Krista katherine, they were getting out of his car in the parking lot of a Perkins restaurant at about 6 a.m. on March 17 when Rien Hendricks and his wife Shannon Hendricks pulled up behind them in an SUV.

“(Hendricks) was getting out of his vehicle, and he said, ‘Fucking faggot, I’m going to kill you,’” Phares said.

At that point Phares said Hendricks struck him in the head with great force using a 2 x 4 piece of lumber. In a written statement, Krista katherine said she heard her brother’s head smack the pavement, but Tim Phares lost consciousness and doesn’t remember anything else before waking up in the hospital.

Phares suffered head and facial abrasions as well as multiple facial fractures that will ultimately require surgery to implant metal plates, he said.

Earlier in the evening, Phares and his sister had attended a party at the Hendricks’ home, but said they left because the couple had treated them rudely, they said.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the Barron County District Attorney’s office, a patron seated in Perkins at the time of the alleged attack was a witness to what occurred both immediately before and after the incident.

Hendricks, 36, who lives at 527 Phipps Ave. in Rice Lake, was taken into custody and charged with substantial battery intended to inflict bodily harm, a Class 1 felony. He faces a $10,000 and a much as three and a half years in prison..."

Nobel Peace(?) Prize Winner, LECH WALESA, against LGBT

User avatarFormer Polish President Lech Walesa at the 20th anniversary of the founding of Solidarity, the first independent trade union in the Eastern Bloc, August 30, 2000.
"Walesa said in a television interview on Friday that he believes gays have no right to sit on the front benches in Parliament and, if represented at all, should sit in the back, "and even behind a wall."
"They have to know that they are a minority and must adjust to smaller things. And not rise to the greatest heights, the greatest hours, the greatest provocations, spoiling things for the others and taking (what they want) from the majority," he told the private broadcaster TVN during a discussion of gay rights. "I don't agree to this and I will never agree to it." "A minority should not impose itself on the majority," Walesa said.
Wałęsa was born in Popowo, Poland.
His father Bolesław was a carpenter who was arrested by the Nazis before Lech was born and thrown into the concentration camp at Mlyniec. Boleslaw returned home after the war but lived only two months before succumbing to exhaustion and illness - he was not yet 34 years old.
His mother Feliksa, born Kamienska, has been credited with shaping her son's beliefs and tenacity..."

BTW;  Over the years, Wałesa has been accused of having been an informer for the Polish secret police Służba Bezpieczeństwa .

FURTHERMORE:
Following the June 1989 parliamentary elections, Wałęsa was disappointed that some of his former comrades-in-arms were satisfied to govern alongside former communists. He decided to run for the newly re-established office of president, using the slogan, "I don't want to, but I've got no choice".
_____________________________________________________________________________

I HAVE NEVER UNDERSTOOD HOW OPPRESSED PEOPLE RESOLVE TO OPPRESS OTHERS.
BASICALLY,  WALESA  APPARENTLY FEELS IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH HIM, HE WILL TRY TO CREATE A NEW REALITY AS HE DID IN 1989.

IN THE 1930'S HIS FAMILY WAS PERSECUTED AND INSTEAD OF SHOWING EMPATHY TO OTHERS, HE IS ACTING LIKE HIS OPPRESSORS.

MAYBE MR. WALESA HAS SOMETHING TO HIDE. ( "The lady doth protest too much, methinks")

MAYBE  HIS EGO HAS HIM BELIEVE HE CAN RE-ESTABLISH THE ENTIRE WORLD'S EVOLVING VIEWS ON THE LGBT COMMUNITY.

LUCKILY, THE STRIDES BEING MADE FOR THE  LGBT COMMUNITY ARE NOT IN TUNE WITH THIS UNIFORMED, EGOMANIACAL, IMBECILE, HOMOPHOBIC, POWER-HUNGRY HYPOCRITE ...

WOW-GUILLERMO DIAZ: CUBAN/GAY/AMAZING ACTOR

I KNOW DIAZ FROM THE CABLE SHOW "WEEDS".

HE IS SUCH A CONVINCING THUG ON IT THAT I ALWAYS FELT A BIT DIRTY & GUILTY BEING TURNED ON BY HIS MASCULINE WAYS (at times on the show he did show some humanity, I guess a good actor, with the right writers, can peel away layers of such a despicable character -lol).

BUT HOT HE IS!

HE STARS IN THE HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL; "SCANDAL" (I THINK I'M GONNA START WATCHING IT--LOL-CALL ME SHALLOW)

RECENTLY, HE MADE AN APPEARANCE ON "THE VIEW" AND WAS PURE CHARM!

LET'S EXAMINE THIS, HE'S CUBAN. MASCULINE, TALENTED, OPENLY GAY AND A NEW YORKER--WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE???????????

OH DID I MENTION UNINHIBITED? HE DID SOME NUDE SHOTS FOR THE MAGAZINE "PINUPS"-------------------SWEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!
_________________________________________________________________________________

Díaz was born and grew up in Washington Heights, Manhattan, the son of Cuban-born parents.

In 1994, he landed his first speaking role as Spike in Boaz Yakin's Fresh. From there he began working on Party Girl as Leo, Parker Posey's roommate. His next role was a drag queen (La Miranda) in Nigel Finch's Stonewall. In 1996 Díaz worked in Jim McKay's Girls' Town as Dylan, after which he appeared in I'm Not Rappaport.

Guillermo Díaz (born March 22, 1975) is an American actor. He is known for his movies Half Baked (1998), 200 Cigarettes (1999) and Stonewall (1995). He currently stars in the ABC drama Scandal, as Huck.[1]
Díaz has had several TV guest appearances on such shows as Chappelle's Show, Law & Order, Weeds and ER.
In 2006, he joined the cast of a series of improv-based commercials for Sierra Mist titled Mist Takes. A Spanish version of the advertisements began airing and the bilingual Díaz also starred in those with other Latino comedians.

Two years ago Guillermo Díaz was invited to a party for Pinups, a gay magazine that features one pictorial a month, a matter-of-fact portrayal of a regular guy hanging out naked. “I’d never heard of the magazine,” recalls Díaz, who met Pinups’ creator and resident photographer, Christopher Schulz. “I was like, ‘When are you going to shoot me?’ And he asked, ‘You want to do it?’ I said, ‘Yeah, let’s do it. I want to be naked in a magazine.’

KENTUCKY TOWN (VICCO) SUPPORTS LGBT

ENCOURAGING!!!

With a population of just 334 residents, Vicco, Kentucky

(Latitude:37° 2157' North
Longitude:83° 0616' West   --- in the USA)

is believed to be the smallest municipality in the U.S. to approve an LGBT-inclusive anti-discrimination ordinance.

The little Appalachian town is the first in the state to do so in the past decade.

Let's congratulate the citizens and community leaders of Vicco for passing their "Fairness Ordinance." (via LGBTQ Nation)

Vicco becomes Kentucky's fourth municipality to pass such an ordinance, following Lexington, Louisville, and Covington.

"Vicco is a community that believes all folks should be treated fairly," said Vicco city attorney Eric Ashley. "We believe everyone deserves the opportunity for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Fairness is a Kentucky value, a Vicco value, and one of our most American values."
