"THE OPPOSITE OF LONLINESS"-MARINA KEEGAN

Although most of us are not graduating college as the late, beautiful and insightful Marina Keegan did, we can all get the message in her last, highly inspirational speech. We can start over anytime in our lives. My 75 year old mom is taking ESL at a college and is loving it--so proud of her! I made a huge life change at 48 and have never been happier!

Listen to this young woman's practical suggestions. (google or follow my above link for the full speech)

My favorite line:
"It's not quite love and it's not quite community; it's just this feeling that there are people, an abundance of people, who are in this together..."

In other words, all the cliched sayings of yesteryear "we are not an island" , "give peace a chance", "love thy neighbor", Do unto others as you would have others do unto you" are still relevant

Words are cheap/ action is change
-change your own world and the rest will follow--the earth is small & we must ALL work for the better of it!

ADDENDUM--AUGUST 13, 2012 --My buddy just sent me another inspirational story about a 94 year old man who's life is richer than ever (really worth reading)..
