BASEBALL PLAYER JIM ABBOTT IN PHILLY

I had the distinct honor to hear Abbott be interviewed in Philly on Monday at the Citizens Bank Stadium--what a thrill!
This event sold out within hours, hence 1000 of us were lucky to hear this legendary player speak from the heart. (thank you James D. for the invite).

Abbott was affable, inspiring & humble when sharing his successes. This fellow Virgo has become a motivational speaker--and rightly so--hearing him one feels uplifted.

In his memoir "IMPERFECT" he describes the ups & downs (mostly ups due to his support & determination). He met Fidel Castro, played the major leagues, and now in this stage in life leads by example for a new generations to say "Hey if Jim Abott can do anything, so can I!"
With bullying reaching new heights (he addressed this problem on Monday) many kids, especially those who feel "different", have named Abbott one of their heroes.
He is one mine now!

He never wanted to be defined by his disability so has instead made it his asset.

When asked what his best advice to children today is he not surprisingly says "determination" .
RIGHT-ON!!!!!!!

James Anthony Abbott (born September 19, 1967) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher, who played despite having been born without a right hand. He played for the California Angels, the New York Yankees, the Chicago White Sox, and the Milwaukee Brewers, from 1989 to 1999.
