DJ DAVID HENNEY DIES ---50

I WAS STUNNED & VERY SAD I JUST FOUND OUT YESTERDAY


David Henney, the former Billboard Dance Chart DJ who went on to become an acclaimed dance music promotion executive, first at Elektra Records under Leslie Doyle, then Logic Records and finally as an independent promotion team with former partner, Peter Knego, has passed away at his home in Pennsylvania at the age of 50 of unknown causes.

Besides being such an acclaimed DJ he was one of my oldest friends in the "new" Asbury Park, NJ.
David, Shep, David H, Joe, Robert  & other pioneers are one of the reasons we even have a new Asbury Park at all.

I WILL MISS HIM TERRIBLY.

 

 He was always ready to make me laugh w/ a quip or read as we laid around the "EMPRESS HOTEL" pool on so many endless summers.  "You're a bitch"!, I would yell whenever he made his  "observations", at which point he would take a long , Bette Davis puff of his cigarette & throw his head back-accompanied by that Cheshire smile- w/ a sense of accomplishment that once again he got a rise outta me. Then minutes later he would howl hysterically and say,  "So anteater, (private reference), you're on the list I better see your tired ass on the dance floor tonight & you better visit me in the booth!"  That night-as I obeyed the "bitch" , he hugged me tightly like we had not seen each other in years, with a welcoming & loving smile. He generosity had no bounds. He always had me on a list or let me bring a reference & a hello whenever I traveled to one of his fellow DJs. I met many wonderful people through him (esp. my dear, beautiful friend, Amy G.). He was definitely a presence professionally & socially. Since he had moved to Philly I had seen him less & less, (hence, the reason I just found out about his passing 6 months afterward), but I always remember him with  that loving heart & witty mind.

Right here in Edgewater, New Jersey,  the man responsible for inventing the bar code we have come to rely on as much as the cell phone & the ATM card, has died.


 

Norman Joseph Woodland, the co-inventor of the bar code that labels nearly every product in stores and has boosted productivity in nearly every sector of commerce worldwide, has died, sadly of Alzheimer's disease. He was 91.

" The only code Woodland knew was the Morse Code he'd learned in the Boy Scouts, his daughter said. One day, he drew Morse dots and dashes as he sat on the beach and absent-mindedly left his fingers in the sand where they traced a series of parallel lines..."

That beep beep beep so annoying at times & yet we put up with it because it makes our shopping quicker & more efficient (esp. when making returns & exchanges).

I gotta say they really are cool & from my feeble brain's perspective: genius! I cannot begin to explore the science behind it-nor do I want to. I'm just glad when rushing through grocery shopping-which is usually, ALWAYS-I'm glad they're there. Remember the last time we forgot the code for bananas? (4011,btw). We almost WENT bananas...

From what I understand the girl is still highly prone to infection & her immune system is fragile therefore she has to continually be on medication. However, after 8 months, she is in complete remission from the leukemia. WOW!!!
She is strong and for the parents this was a last ditch effort--she was going to die.

THEY WILL HEAR THE CASE IN MARCH 2013 & DECIDE BY THE END OF JUNE 2013, THUS FAR.

A few days ago, a person was recharging his mobile phone at home.

Just at that time a call came in and he answered it with the charging Instrument still connected to the outlet.

After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained and the young man was thrown to the floor with a heavy thud. As you can see, the phone actually exploded.

His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with a weak heartbeat and burnt fingers.

He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet! If you are charging the cell phone and a call comes in, unplug it from the charger and outlet.

Many people in the LGBT community feel betrayed. I think this was a bold way for Kurek to really get to know a community he had so many prejudices against. I have read many social scientists study a group or groups in similar ways (i.e. the homeless) and they all come out (no pun intended) a more enlightened person. I think if we ALL tried walking in the shoes of those who scare us, or at the very least , confuse us, we would be more united. I applaud his efforts to understand. I also applaud him for being so newly in tune w/ the struggles of the LGBT community that he is donating a portion of his book to them.

Make your own decision, but this is an fascinating read...

"LINCOLN" & "SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK"

 4 FOR 4: "ARGO", "THE SESSIONS", " THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER" & now the amazing, "SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK"--WOW!!!

 I had hoped "LINCOLN" would make it five.
NOPE!
(I will be tarred & feathered by most viewers-so be it).

From the beginning to the very end, "Sliver Linings Playbook" had me riveted to the original story and stunning characters; especially the tour-de-force performance by  Bradley Cooper. I know a bit of his acting background and was always waiting for him to pull out all that learning and apply it --here he exceeds it, over & over & over & over...
 Finally the muses  smiled upon him w/ a perfect blend of a genius script, sensitive director, gripping introspection (which his character reveals in morsels to his audience) and a terrific supporting cast. I cannot believe this is the hunk behind movies which had never challenged him before like those "hangover" ones. He was always beautiful to look at but here we got to see that overt beauty take a back seat to his spirit and cerebral manipulations.
For my money I would give him the Oscar right now!
Not since Jack Nicholson In "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" or Al Pacino in "Dog Day Afternoon" have I seen an actor own a character with so many ebbs & flow to it. He has you in the palm of his hands & does a complete 180 just when you think you understand his next move. BRAVO!
The story is full of genuine family dynamics, hope, betrayal and lots of humor interwoven and so desperately needed since it tackles a myriad of uncomfortable issues.
Jennifer Lawrence acts years beyond her young life. She gives the type of performance a much more seasoned actress would. Again, I cannot believe this is the girl from "The Hunger Games"--what a difference a script makes! I nominate her for best actress as well. And finally Robert DeNiro does not phone in his performance, as he has been doing for years. He gives his character the complexities desperately needed--and man is he funny! 
I URGE YOU TO GO & SEE IT TODAY! You will feel better than when you came in--guaranteed!

OH, THEN THERE'S "LINCOLN".
I may sound full of contradictions in what you're about to read but let me be clear, I kept looking at my watch; never a good sign.
I gotta say Kushner wrote a great screenplay (typically dense) based on Goodwin's book. Spielberg directs it almost brilliantly (though some of the scenes screamed studio back lot & not Civil War). Spielberg does display brilliance when we first see Lincoln (Day-Lewis) --perfect lighting/camera work, etc.--it literally gave me chills.
Daniel Day-Lewis could not be a better Abe; his resemblance is uncanny, although he seemed to be channeling Bill Clinton in his tone & delivery. HE WILL GET THE OSCAR, SADLY.
The first grueling three quarters of the movie was a glorified history lesson with names & facts thrown  at the audience (I get it , they were establishing the foundation for what was to happen later, but UGH! REALLY? A HISTORY LESSON?). I kept hearing how audiences around the country actually cheered at certain parts--of course, the overt musical manipulation made you do that-again UGH! Every actor in Hollywood appears at some point. It must have been really special to have a tiny but pivotal part for S.Epatha Merkerson. Obviously, this was THE film to be in-shades of "Gone with the Wind", if you will.
What happened , for me, was the old Merchant-Ivory curse: a really well made film that simply wasn't entertaining. Like I told a friend who salivates with anything regarding politics & history, "For people like you, this was a filmic orgasm". I, on the other hand, barely experienced foreplay-and no one was more sorry than moi.
I wanted to love it. I barely liked it.

R I P --LARRY HAGMAN, DEAD AT 81--He will always be Major Nelson on "I DREAM OF JEANNIE"  to me--one of that eras true hunks... (of course he'll be widely remembered as JR EWING  from "DALLAS" ("Who shot JR" is as popular pop culture, legendary saying as "You talkin' to me?",  "Where's the beef", "Shaken, not stirred" and "I've fallen and I can't get up"--God bless Hagman (son of another legend, Mary Martin)

MOVIES: "THE SESSIONS" & "THE PERKS OF A WALLFLOWER"


 


BOTH AMAZING MOVIES--DIFFERENT THEMES BUT SIMILAR IN MANY WAYS

 "THE SESSIONS" would have hit a home run simply by tackling the true life story of  California-based journalist and poet Mark O'Brien who had polio since age 6 ( his plight had been explored once in the Oscar winning doc. "BREATHING LESSONS", btw). But the real reason you should run and see this film is because this is NOT a Lifetime desease-of-the-week sort; instead it is hysterically funny w/ enough pathos to establish a perfect balance.We see O'Brien making everyone-including himself-feel good (even sexy). 
Some of his best moments are talking sex with his priest, played beautifully by William H. Macy. 
The entire cast is fantastic!
This is Helen Hunt's best non-comedic role to date. "Deadwood's" John Hawkes steals the movie & our hearts along with it (an Oscar contender for sure)-can't wait to see him soon in "Lincoln". 
I love movies that make me feel like I'm peering into the private lives of someone (I usually forget it's a movie & these are actors-then again, am I  just a closet peeping tom?--lol); here we are privy to a world I'm sure few of us have entered.
The running theme in these two movies is the humor which ultimately transcends to the kind of compassion that can actually save lives. 

Both films have a seamless way of taking us through their different journeys-trust either one of these directors in the future (Ben Lewin & Stephen Chbosky).


 "THE PERKS OF A WALLFLOWER"
 I just had a gut feeling it would be great, and it was! It is this decade's best coming-of-age story-directed and acted beautifully. Special kudos go to the three young but naturally gifted actors the story centers around: Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller. I could swear John Hughes was directing from beyond (if you loved "The Breakfast Club" & "Mean Girls", you'll get a blend of both here). Lerman will surely become a heartthrob after this & a much sort after actor, his ease in the myriad of emotions he has to conjure is effortless.
Again, if you wanna go for the laughs, they're clearly here too. ENJOY!

INTERRACIAL COUPLE CHANGE HISTORY

In 1958, the now celebrated interracial couple, Richard & Mildred Loving, were given a choice in Virginia-leave the state or get arrested; hence the supreme court decision:
"Loving v. Virginia (1967)". Ironically they began courting when she was 11 & he was 17 (in VA THAT was ok--WTF?)



The Lovings stood for two principles:
 First, all citizens have the fundamental right to marry...
Secondly, that all people should be treated equally...
THE LGBT community embraces the Lovings courage and resolve. Thy didn't ask to be heroes but, in my opinion, they personify the definition .

"By their own widely reported accounts, Mrs. Loving and her husband, Richard, were in bed in their modest house in Central Point in the early morning of July 11, 1958, five weeks after their wedding, when the county sheriff and two deputies, acting on an anonymous tip, burst into their bedroom and shined flashlights in their eyes. A threatening voice demanded, “Who is this woman you’re sleeping
with?”

Mrs. Loving answered, “I’m his wife.”

Mr. Loving pointed to the couple’s marriage certificate hung on the bedroom wall. The sheriff responded, “That’s no good here.”

The certificate was from Washington, D.C., and under Virginia law, a marriage between people of different races performed outside Virginia was as invalid as one done in Virginia. At the time, it was one of 24 states that barred marriages between races.

After Mr. Loving spent a night in jail and his wife several more, the couple pleaded guilty to violating the Virginia law, the Racial Integrity Act. Under a plea bargain, their one-year prison sentences were suspended on the condition that they leave Virginia and not return together or at the same time for 25 years...

"They paid court fees of $36.29 each, moved to Washington and had three children. They returned home occasionally, never together. But times were tough financially, and the Lovings missed family, friends and their easy country lifestyle in the rolling Virginia hills.."

"ARGO": A MUST SEE

"ARGO" IS A NEAR PERFECT MOVIE.


 



I came to the film knowing the plot but was wondering how the screenplay would be handled under the direction of pretty boy, Ben Affleck--he's not just a pretty face anymore. He has come into his own as a director (listen up George Clooney). Along w/ turning this film into a near perfection viewing experience (there was a hint of melodrama when focused of Affleck's character's personal life, oh well).  Affleck's acting is subtle allowing those who need to be more "in-your-face" shine (especially Alan Arkin who deserves another Oscar and Bryan Cranston his first),
Good for you, Ben,  for stepping back and letting the film shine as the perfect ensemble piece it's meant to be.

Being a political suspense/thriller it constantly reminded me of Alan Pakula's "All the President's Men". His pacing, explicit explanation of the true events and impeccable editing kept the entire audience on the edge of their seats--applause was heard in key scenes--what? KUDOS!
One got the feeling we were experiencing the events in real time (though Affleck's team perfectly captured the period-mostly through various styles of telephones).

This will probably be the film to beat at this year's Oscars; then again, I haven't seen "Lincoln" or "Les Miserables" yet.

But go see "Argo". Many of us remember this horrific time in history; therefore, it will resonate even more to you. Those too young will attend a very pleasurable history lesson.

What made me the most sad after watching "Argo" is that the world is actually worse today. Enough already! Like John Lennon said,  "Give peace a chance".

The world looks so ugly right now, you would have thought we would have learned something back in the 1970's huh? What to do? What to do?

GLEN CAMPBELL 10-18-2012

"GLEN CAMPBELL: THE GOODBYE TOUR"

Sadly, Glen Campbell isn't retiring due to lack of talent or  the love of his fans but because for several years he's been in the progressive stages of Alzheimer Disease.

But you wouldn't know it last night, October 18, 2012, at the State Theater in New Brunswick, NJ.

His infectious playful manner combined with his amazing talent gave way to an unforgettable evening. Numerous standing ovations & audience participation made the entire experience electrifying.

To watch a legend improvise and offer ALL of him was a thing of beauty. Thank you Glen!

Three of his many children play in his band. They have started their own which opened the program, "Victoria Ghost". Though you appreciate them as highly skilled musicians & an aw shucks attitude, reminiscent of their legendary father, they are more proficient as background for the time being. Their songs, save for one,  lacked message and musical content. In the future, perhaps, they can carry the baton & continue to keep their father's repertoire alive.

What was beautiful to watch, on a very visceral level,  was the love shared between his children and Glen Campbell's ultimate journey. The daughter (she is amazing on keyboard & many string instruments) loving attention to her dad on stage is so heartfelt--"they got him, no doubt" as my friend and I shared afterward. This is a very special time for all to remember and share.

Campbell opened with "Gentle on my Mind" whereupon I realized once again the uniqueness of his voice in tone, range and a masculine velvety that comes around once in a lifetime. He gave the audience all the hits. I think the pop, karaoke "Rhinestone Cowboy" connected the entire theater.

Sure he did struggle about 75% of the time, but who cares? We all know his  struggle and applaud  him for being in on the reality of it all. He owns his situation and being that brutally honest proves why we all fell in love with him in the first place. Not an ounce of phoniness in this man since he started playing background for people like The Beach Boys and most of the artists in the 1960's as part of the obscure "WRECKING CREW" (watch a trailer of The Wrecking Crew on youtube for more).

Thank you Jimmy Webb for writing for Glen for so many years  so many hits and  thank you Glen for making them come to life for so many decades.

I have seen many comedians in my day but he stands, right now, in 2012, at the top of the male ones!!! He offers a well produced show full of energy & good vibes. His 5 opening acts were great as well. You definitely feel like you get your money's worth.He was sold out quickly at WESTBURY in Long Island. For us, the schlep was long but we came back wanting to see him again--anywhere-soon! Right Olivia?

  I was studying him like a piece of art, which in his profession can be described as high art. It was pure laughter magic! He is actually better in person; but for now, enjoy his comedic antics on youtube.

THE CAST CONSISTS OF:  Audrey Lynn Weston, Marilyn Sokol, Lenny Wolpe, Todd Susman and Bill Army-all of them more than qualify for this type of  play.

The pacing is amazing, from gags, to straight-on jokes, songs and even autobiographical memories of how & why comedy came into their lives & the healing effect of it. I CONCUR!

It's about 90 minutes of fun.

I highly recommend it, but again if you can get it (and you can with GOLDSTAR & other discounted sites) for $60 or under.

Except for one usherette & the concession guy, the staff can use some manners--this was my only complaint; they made me "Meschugenah!"

"A New Jersey teenager was killed when his head hit a highway overpass after he apparently stuck it out of a party bus near the George Washington Bridge, which connects Manhattan with New Jersey over the Hudson River.

Daniel Fernandez, a 16-year-old resident of Sayreville, died Friday evening on his way to a sweet 16 party, according to Port Authority spokesman Steve Coleman.

He was on the top level of a double-decker bus when he apparently stuck his head out of an emergency hatch in the roof.."

In my opinion, it's not that great a loss to see RANDY JACKSON --and his annoying dawg comments--leave the panel of AMERICAN IDOL.

IF THEY HAVE ANY SENSE AT ALL THEY SHOULD HAVE JIMMY IOVINE IN HIS PLACE-ALONG WITH AN OLDER, SEASONED PERFORMER & MARIAH (though, frankly, I can only take Ms. Carey & her enormous ego in doses).

"After weeks of speculation and gossip that Randy Jackson would follow his former "American Idol" co-stars Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler out the studio door, TMZ is now reporting that he is in fact stepping down as an "Idol" judge. (Fox reps declined to comment at this time.) With Randy, the only judge to serve on all past 11 seasons of the series, no longer on the panel, it's the end of an era, dawg.

However, longtime "Idol" viewers who are worried that host Ryan Seacrest (who recently renewed his contract for $15 million) will now be the show's only comfortingly familiar face needn't worry. TMZ also reports that Randy--who manages new judge Mariah Carey, and was instrumental in orchestrating her $18 million "Idol" deal--will stay on the show in a more Iovine-esque "mentoring" role. That is vaguely reassuring, I suppose...but let's hope that doesn't mean that mentor Jimmy Iovine is leaving the show, since he's been "Idol's" closest thing to a truly competent, honest voice of reason since Simon Cowell quit two years ago..."

FUN, FUN, FUN !!!

BUT, ONE OF THE WORST MOVIES EVER MADE.
I OWN THE 1976 VERSION-WHICH ITSELF IS PRETTY TACKY AND A BORE TO WATCH.  THE 2012 "SPARKLE" IS ABOUT HALF A NOTCH BETTER BUT AT LEAST IT'S FUN BECAUSE IT'S SO DARN CAMPY. WE ALSO GET THE PRIVILEDGE TO WATCH OUR WHITNEY HOUSTON BRILLIANTLY PERFORM HER LAST SONG FOR THE PUBLIC.

"SPARKLE" is a throw-back to the melodrama of the the late 50's & early 1960's --I was waiting for the ocean hitting the rocks at any moment indicating sex was occurring..lol...

I laughed throughout at the sheer amateur writing, directing and overall poor acting of the film. the wigs deserve a special "Rotten Tomatoes" award (they could have consulted any NY drag queen for better fake hair--oy vey!).

Jordan Sparks ranks as the worst breakout newcomer in film to date (say what you will about Mairah Carey in "Glitter" but she is awesome in comparison). Sparks needs to get serious acting lessons or just stick to being the talented & beautiful singer we all know her to be. Carmen Ejojo is sultry, pathetic & stunningly beautiful in her tragic role, but it is Tika Sumpter that delivers w/ her amazing acting chops. Tamela J. Mann was great too.

I gotta say a lot of HOTTT eye candy..the men are smokin!!! (that Omari Hardwick? Double Danm!)

The soundtrack is ok with lots of recycled songs. I think I will pick & choose some of the songs for my playlist but avoid buying the entire CD.

The most heartbreaking part of this movie is not the forced cliche situations written into the script  but the painful foreshadowing & reflection of  Whitney Houston's real life her character shares.

Everyone was portraying real life people, in my opinion. Michael Epps was the Sammy Davis Jr. prototype while Cee-lo Green channeled Barry White. Whitney could have been channeling herself as her mother, Cissy Houston. Reminding a younger more naive  rising star about  the perils of the entertainment world & its glaring spotlight  -where they can tragically lead.

MARIJAUNA DISPENSARY in NJ --The First

In roughly a month,  Montclair, NJ will be the first city to have a medical marijuana dispensary called THE GREENLEAF COMPASSION CENTER on Bloomfield Ave.

Residents are afraid this will become the logo--lolol

 

From personal experience I know Montclair is a wonderful town due to its balanced  views on society (same-sex marriage, etc). Now one more step to put this "where the suburb meets the city" place on the map.

Starting today, August 9, 2012... New Jersey residents with certain illnesses are allowed to apply for medical marijuana ID cards. They are valid for 2 yrs.  Some copious paperwork is involved in the registration process as well.

There are strong arguments from NJ residents on both sides of this issue. Those who claim they need it see this as a lot of red tape, while others are completely opposed to this medical option.

I just saw Thorson interviewed about this movie & he looks like a young Liberace.

HEPATITIS C "SERIAL INFECTOR" INDICTED

"David Kwiatkowski, a former lab technician at Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire, had allegedly been stealing the Fentanyl syringes intended for patients, injecting his own arm and then refilling those empty syringes with another liquid-like saline, according to a statement from the United States Attorney's Office in New Hampshire.

Since Kwiatkowski tested positive for Hepatitis C in June 2010, he passed it on to the hospital patients who were injected with his used, saline-filled syringes, according to the affidavit. 

The New Hampshire hospital lab technician indicted last week for infecting 31 people with Hepatitis C might have infected "tens of thousands" of patients in at least 13 hospitals, ABC News has learned..."

Sadly, New York is one of the places he worked as a medical tech. temp.

MundoFox is an over-the-air Spanish language American television network set to launch on August 13, 2012. The network is a joint venture between News Corporation's Fox International Channels and Colombian broadcaster RCN Televisión.
The launch of MundoFox was announced on January 23, 2012. Hernan Lopez, president and CEO of Fox International Channels, said the network will cater to "an increasing demand for quality Spanish-language content in the U.S. from  both viewers and advertisers.

According to Phillips, she died at about 3:30 a.m.

An accident shortly after 2 a.m. on July 1 in which a motorist struck and killed a bicyclist minutes after the two left the same bar has shocked and saddened many in Rehoboth’s LGBT community.

Brian C. Meegan, 38, who was employed as a bartender at L Bar, a popular gay bar on Rehoboth Avenue just outside the Rehoboth town limits, allegedly slammed into the rear of a bicycle ridden by PNC Bank loan officer Russell “Rusty” Henman, 44, while driving his 2003 Jeep Wrangler, according to a statement released by Delaware State Police.

Police said they arrested Meegan a short time after he pulled into a CVS Pharmacy parking lot. News media photos show him being held in handcuffs by police at the site of the parking lot.

“The front of Meegan’s Jeep struck the rear of Henman’s bike causing him to be ejected onto the hood of the Jeep,” the police statement says. “Henman was carried approximately 400 feet until the Jeep struck a curb and stopped, throwing Henman onto the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene,” the statement says.

State Police charged Meegan with one count each of first-degree vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death, driving under the influence.

John Meng, co-owner of L Bar, disputes the police claim that Mee of alcohol, failure to report an accident resulting in injury or death, no proof of motor vehicle insurance and inattentive driving.egan was intoxicated, saying other employees who observed him during his work shift on the night of the accident say he wasn’t drinking.

“Brian was not drunk,” Meng told the Blade on Monday. “We have video of him at work. I don’t understand what the State Police said. He was not drinking while on his shift.”

People who know Meegan said he recently moved to Rehoboth from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and began working as a bartender at L Bar.

Meegan posted a message on his Facebook page at 5:13 p.m. on June 30 saying, “Working [a] double today, ready for Super July Fourth Week.” People familiar with L Bar said he was referring to working a double shift at the establishment, which included the afternoon happy hour period and the evening shift. His evening shift on June 30 would have extended past midnight to July 1, the morning of the accident.

The accident that took Henman’s life took place where Rehoboth Avenue merges into Route 1 Coastal Highway. Many Rehoboth residents have noted that bicycle traffic has increased in recent years. Some have called for more clearly designated bike lanes, especially in the location where Rehoboth Avenue merges with Route 1.

Others have called for more public awareness of programs aimed at helping people with alcohol related problems. Elkins said Camp Rehoboth hosts a weekly Alcoholics Anonymous meeting on Thursdays in which 60 or more people participate.

“There are a number of AA meetings daily in the Rehoboth area,” he said.

ROBERT BLAKE---MY NEW HERO!

Tonight I watched one of the most riveting moments on television: Piers Morgan interviewing Robert Blake.

Like so many people I doubted Robert Blakes's innocence till tonight.

 Intellectually I am aware the media manipulates opinions all the time depending on what news shows you watch, what publications you read and the overall gossip or trending "hot topics" various shows discuss on television & in the cyber world.

Maybe because Blake never took the stand I misread that as lawyers playing cover-up. I sincerely apologize for my lack of fairness to Mr. Blake. He's either the best actor who ever lived or he's telling the truth--I'll go with the latter (watch it & decide for yourself).
 
 First of all why would he deny telling the truth at age 79? One cannot be tried for the same crime twice.
 Regardless of all the evidence which have proven his innocence, he convinced me of any wrongdoing tonight by his behavior (which many are calling rants and I'm calling it honest, unedited anger at being called a liar).

 As an extra bonus, and one which I got great pleasure of seeing, he put that pompous asshole, Piers Morgan, in his place -over & over again! You go Robert!

While he was cursing and making Piers squirm in fear and confusion he was giving a one, two punch loudly but honestly, of which Piers never recovered. That's how we do it in New Jersey (Blake was born in Nutley, NJ*).

 When the truth is on our side in this great state we all become lawyers. We are an intelligent state -whoever is thinking "Jersey Shore" right now is unaware of what an amazing state NJ really is and needs to read about the real natives and the enormous contribution we make. We thrive in entertainment (most of the great actors have come from NJ, the movies started here), education, politics, nature, location, finances,etc.--but I digress.

This British tabloid, wannabe newscaster, Piers Morgan, is accustomed to looking down his nose at his guests and at so many contestants before on AGT-well buddy you got not only a taste of your own medicine with Blake but an entire bottle full. Drink it!

 Piers, you're a detached,  overall know-it-all  wannabe  brand; but be grateful,  this one interview will put that predictable show of yours on the map once & for all. You are fully aware of this since you showed the interview twice in one week. Stupid you're not. Arrogant? For sure!
