According to the FTC,
Skechers agreed to pay a hefty $40 million fine to settle charges the
California-based company deceived consumers by making "unfounded claims
that Shape-ups would help people lose weight, and strengthen and tone
their buttocks, legs and abdominal muscles..."
So if you bought "shape-ups" by Skechers you may be entitled for a reimbursement - RUN???
I try to tell people there is no easy way to get in shape; the trick is portion control, eat real food and exercise (no mystery or magic potions), but I don't blame those who bought the "shape-ups" ( I think people figured, why not, it can't hurt, right? And they don't, SKECHERS can continue to sell them but they cannot make the false promises they had.
