Before anyone starts condemning the family,
Michael Jackson had ties twice before he died with the Pepsi Corporation -after his hair burning experience (some attribute the genesis of his drug addiction to pain killers because of this unfortunate accident, one never knows).
Michael Jackson may have died in 2009, but Pepsi has
decided that even in the afterlife, the King of Pop will be selling pop
-- soda, that is.
PepsiCo Inc. announced Thursday that it will collaborate with Jackson’s estate to use his likeness and music in ads airing worldwide.
The partnership will include 1 billion special edition Pepsi cans
featuring Jackson’s image, as well as live events and MJ-related
merchandise.
